    Welcome to Greater Resilience Counseling! My name is Jocelyn Alston and I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 8 years of behavioral health experience working with adults and families. In 2009 I obtained a Master of Social Work and Public Affairs from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am passionate about strong healthy families and it starts with healthy caregivers! I specialize in working alongside women and caregivers to support you in navigating and balancing the rewards and unique challenges that come with caring for your loved ones. For many of my clients, it can be an internal struggle to prioritize your needs. It can feel like you are doing your best, but your best does not feel good enough. Whether you are caring for aging parents, a chronically-ill family member, or a child with special needs, I am here to help you on your journey.

    My clinical work utilizes a systems and strengths-based approach to support the total health and overall needs of my clients. I incorporate frameworks based in cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, motivational interviewing and mindfulness to support your goals towards a healthier and more fulfilled you. My social work experience includes work in community-based services, private practice, as well as managed care settings.
